Barbecue
Everyone gathered, laughing and having a wonderful time with together.
That’s what barbecues do for my family. Barbecue is such a big part of my
culture, because not too often do I get to see everyone in my family at once,
and it helps bring them together. Barbecue is also big in my culture because
it’s been passed down from one generation to the next. Finally just the thought
of having a barbecue makes everyone else contribute to the dish, so that mean
more.
Having barbecue had been a big part of my family tradition. It’s been
passed down from generation to generation. In my culture barbecue is one of the
most important meals ever. Because this means usually that it’s a big event
going on, and most of your family members are going to be at the barbecue.
Barbecue has been passed from my great grandmother to my grandmother, and
finally my mother so the tradition lives on throughout my
family.
Most of the time everyone just has breakfast, lunch or dinner with their
families. But having a barbecue is usually big, so everyone in your family is
usually invited. I know for a fact in my family that’s how it is, for example
the next time we’re going to have a barbecue is on thanksgiving. And everyone
from my family meets up at my grandmother’s house, to spending time and has an
important meal together. So barbecue in my culture is marjor
Just because there’s barbecue, that doesn’t mean that the only thing
you’ll be eating. Usually when there’s a barbecue, most people contribute be
bring other dish. Like mash potatoes, corn, rice, baked beans, and a lot more
other foods. Barbecue just happens to be the main dish.
So when you talk about my culture, just know barbecue has a big
role in it. It helps bring family members together for a special event. Brings a
wide diversity of other foods. Barbecue has been in our culture for so many
years, it’s been passing from one generation to the next. Not only does barbecue
taste good, but there so many things that come along with it.
